Brock Enright: Good Times Will Never Be The Same

Brock Enright, and his girlfriend Kirsten Deirup drive from Brooklyn, NY to her family’s cabin in Mendocino, CA to prepare his solo show at a prominent New York gallery. As Enright struggles to produce what could be his most significant work, his relationship with Kirsten, her family, and the gallery is strained by his violent, sexually-explicit, and psychologically challenging creation.

The feature documentary is directed by Jody Lee Lipes and edited by Lance Edmands. It is currently in the rough-cut stage. The film will screen for industry buyers at the IFP Market September 14th-19th, 2008. Completion anticipated this winter.

I recently received the Unsolved Mysteries: Psychics DVD box set in the mail. The stills below are from an episode called “The Powers of Miss Katie.” The segment is about the psychic abilities of a woman in Missouri who can not only locate murdered corpses scattered in the woods, but can also literally sweat gold foil from her pores. In one scene, she can even cry diamonds from her tear ducts.
